Wonder Woman Sequel In The Works
Warner Bros. Greenlit 'Wonder Woman' Sequel After Impressive Return
‘Wonder Woman 1984’ declared a success in a statement released by Warner Bros., prompting the studio to consent a third movie in the franchise.
In an unprecedented move by WB, the movie premiered both in theaters and its own streaming service where, according to Andy Forsell, Head of HBO Max Global, it “exceeded our expectations across all of our key viewing and subscriber metrics in its first 24 hours on the service.”
On top of the impressive online performance, WW84 also posted the highest tally at the worldwide box office over the Christmas weekend. Despite China’s lukewarm reception and the pandemic still at large, Diana’s latest on-screen adventure hauled a total of $85M gross so far.
