Cow Fistula

Cow Fistula, a scientific breakthrough allowing researchers a closer look inside the cattle's digestive system, literally.

Subjects of the study, the cattles, have been given a hole directly into the ruminant's rumen covered only with a seal called cannula. Agricultural scientists can reach within to examine the process, remove partially digested food than having to collect the cattle's feces, find food alternatives in the feedings and study the cow's internal digestion. With this induction of this aid, further lab investigations can be managed and other problems may be administered like stomach cancer.

There goes our Hole-y Cow!
Additional captures after the jump.
