Lockheed Burbank's Amazing Camouflage

Lockheed Burbank was an aircraft assembly plant during The World War II in 1940's. Afraid to attract a good target from the Japanese air attacks, the Army Corps of Engineers covered the whole area with camouflage netting and artificial buildings to simulate a rural subdivision from mid-air.
